Even the LA Times critic had been there, and Henry and Colin resolved to stay up all night until the review came out. It was a measure of how fast their careers had exploded, that this rinky dink playhouse production could get an opening night review in the Times.

The theater crew closed up, and they were evicted around midnight. “So, where to now?” Henry asked.

“How about your place? It’s close,” Colin said as casually as he could.

“Yeah,” Henry nodded. “Sounds good.”

Colin had a tightness in his guts he tried to ignore. Friends, friends, friends go to other friends’ apartments and there’s nothing to it… That’s what Henry was thinking too, he was sure. Neither of them had given any hint that they’d expect any more.
